Contract

• Student contract - 5 or 6 working days per week

• Work hours: min 30 hours - max 38 hours per week
• Flexible work hours with weekend duties and bank holidays
• Must be an EU National or in possession of a valid work permit
• Applicants should have, or be willing to apply for, a CRB/DBS or Police check
• Must be flexible and available for at least 2 weeks

Function Description

• Lead groups of 9–17 year olds during sports, artistic and cultural activities
• Welcome students and their parents
• Supervise students during excursions (on Wednesday afternoon and at weekends)
• Supervise breaks, meals and bedtime
• Make sure guidelines and rules are respected and promote the use of the target language

Profile

• Must be a native speaker
• Be 21 years old or in at least their second year of higher education
• Have experience in leading group activities
• Be skilled in at least one specific area, such as sports or arts
• Will show enthusiasm and a sense of responsibility
• First Aid certificate and knowledge of a foreign language are desirable

• Teach the target language to 9 – 17 year olds
• Give general oral and written expression lessons, listening and reading comprehension lessons, workshops and one-to-one tuition according to the CERAN method
• Evaluate students’ level at beginning and end of stay and complete the pedagogical report
• Attend meetings and training sessions
• Supervise breaks and meals
• Make sure guidelines and rules are respected and promote the use of the target language

Profile

• Must have a perfect command of their mother tongue
• Be 21 years old or in at least the second year of a degree course
• Must have a teaching qualification and/or experience
• Will show enthusiasm and a sense of responsibility
• Able to adapt to an educational concept based on oral communication
• Knowledge of foreign languages and experience in leading pedagogical activities are assets
• Be well presented

Profile
