CERAN has drawn up this charter of mutual commitment and motivation to ensure that your training experience is the best it can be.
1 | Participate fully in all activities and reach out to others. That way you’ll fit in with the group, use the target language more and feel more at ease expressing yourself.
2 | Don’t be afraid to speak in the target language during lessons, breaks, meals and activities. Everyone else is in the same situation as you. We’re here to help you.
3 | Choose a physical activity at least once a day. Your brain will be better oxygenated and you’ll learn faster and more easily.
4 | Agree to revisit things you already know. Just because you know or recognise a rule or a vocabulary word doesn’t mean you can use it spontaneously.
5 | Practice, practice, practice: reuse the structures and vocabulary you’ve learnt as often as possible. The more you use them, the better you’ll remember them.
6 | Be curious: Are you surprised by other people’s cultural behaviour? Don’t hesitate to ask questions. Curiosity is one of the keys to learning.
7 | Don’t get discouraged: learning a new language takes time. Ask your teachers for feedback on your progress.
8 | Ask your questions: if you have a problem, talk to your teachers or the person in charge. They’re there to help you. If you don’t understand, don’t hesitate to ask questions.
9 | Get at least 8 hours’ sleep a night, eat well and drink plenty of water. You need energy for the day.
10 | Avoid using your mobile, tablet or PC too much: you’re here to develop your communication in the target language.
The rules below must be signed by the trainee on arrival on site.
CERAN JUNIORS courses are intensive and require real personal motivation, as they emphasise ongoing oral practice of the language studied.
To guarantee quality, these rules are applied in all our CERAN JUNIORS centres:
If these rules are not respected, the student will receive a warning and after the third warning he or she will be excluded from the programme and will have to leave the premises and go home at the expense of the parents/guardians.
The Centre’s management reserves the right to exclude a trainee after the first warning if the offence is considered serious (e.g. use of alcohol, drugs or harassment).
