Exclusive use of the target language in every conversation helps you to improve your knowledge and helps the teacher to adjust their approach.
VERBO-TONAL METHOD OF PHONETIC CORRECTION
Each language has its own music, intonation, rhythm and sounds.
Our teachers use the verbo-tonal method developed by the University of Mons-Hainaut, Belgium, to help you to identify and reproduce these features. This process makes it easier to learn the target language.

A CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT PROCESS
Before starting your course, we ask you to complete an online test to assess your passive knowledge of the target language.
Your oral communication ability is evaluated during your very first lessons. The groups are put together on the basis of the initial assessment and, depending on the level established, the teacher draws up an appropriate learning programme with you.
The teacher checks your progress daily and whether the course is suitable for you. They guide you, encourage you to use what you have learnt, help you overcome any obstacles
and show you what progress you’ve made.
At the end of the course, the teacher drafts your Linguistic Skills Assessment, which is sent to you in the weeks following the course.
- PRE-TEENS : aged 9 to 11 in the year of the programme
- TEENS : aged 12 to 15 in the year of the programme
- SENIORS : aged 16 to 17 in the year of the programme
In certain cases, CERAN reserves the right to group together PRE-TEENS, TEENS and SENIORS, depending on the number of participants.
